Alpha One Alternator/Battery Cable Issue

Hello- The wire that charges the battery from the alternator (orange in my case) had the ring break off at the alternator. There really isnt much slack as the wires/harness is pretty tought and electrical taped/harnessed together around the engine. Also the alternator post is a bit dethreaded/weathered, but i brushed it and I think it should be fine for now.

Since there is not much slack, cant just put on new ring. Can I run a new wire and sister it to the other wires with etape so i dont have to deal with rewrapping the harness....or do i really need to undo it all and rewrap it around the engine?

Obviously a noob, thanks for any help

a 10Ga. extention wire crimped properly will work.Or an Electrician twist and solder

I would replace the wire if it were me. It should also be an 8 ga. wire, not 10.
