Alpha One gear case cover: 250 ft-lbs??

Manual says the torque spec on the Alpha One gear case cover is 250 ft-lbs.

These are the (4) 12-point bolts on top of the lower unit?? It's like a 3/8" bolt.

Torque is 20 ft lbs

get different manual!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or maybe 250 inch- lbs. Definitely not 250 ft-lbs

Just out of curiosity, where did you read 250 ft. lbs.????

Found it in a SELOC Mercruiser service manual.

I have no doubt that the listing is supposed to read 250-inch lbs...knew there was no way it required that much. Thanks a lot for the help guys.

Now I just need to get that motor back together...

250 inch-lbs=20.8333...... ft-lbs
