Trying to get this drive back together. Lesson: don't take apart a drive, let it sit dry for 3 years, and expect no problems. Anyway, replaced the inpt shaft oil seal and impeller. May have accidentally swapped the bearing carrier cups. About to put the halves back together and noticed that I'm missing the copper water pocket tube. May have thrown it out thinking it was just a random copper pipe. Looks like 1/2" copper pipe fits perfectly. Can I just cut a length to size? If so, what size?

It does look like typical 1/2" copper pipe... but I cannot confirm. Unless you are in a hurry, you can order a new one - part# 32-54236

Yeah, in a hurry. It fits tight in the water pocket cover, so it's the right diameter. Need the length though.

Thanks bt. Doesn't look like the weather is going to cooperate tomorrow, so I'm going to put that spare drive on there and be ready to go next time. This drive looked a bit rough, and I may have mixed the bearing cups, so we'll see how long it lasts.
