Alpha One leaking drive oil

In the fall I noticed drive oil seeping out where the drive bolts on. We had some trouble getting the boat out of the water because the motor would not tilt up. I assumed it hit bottom when pulling it onto the trailer and it jarred something. I took it all apart but didn't see anything. I replaced the gasket and I think an O ring.

Now it is down about 1/4" in the reservoir after sitting for 6 months, so it is a slow leak.

Any ideas where it could be leaking from? Could something be cracked or broken?

Maybe just a sealing issue with the O ring and gasket?

Time to pull the drive. You may find an obvious issue like oil in the bellows from a bad seal. Best bet is to pressure test the drive. Good time to inspect the ujoints/gimble/bellows/shift cable etc. If the impellor hasn't been serviced in the last couple of years, good time for that too.

In the fall I checked/replaced the u joints, ginble, belloes, shift cable, impeller.
It has not seen water since then.

Can a pressure test be done at home? I am going to google it now but if it is leaking than I am sure it will not hold pressure.

The point of the pressure test is to find out where the leak is. You already know it's leaking, but from where? the top input shaft seal, cracked case somewhere, output shaft seal, maybe the quad ring. There is a procedure on the site and some have made their own testers with bicycle pumps and gauges. try a search right here...

I have everything but the fitting to the drive.
I do have a plastic fitting but not not sure how it would hold up.

Is the drive a standard thread? Can I get something from a hardware store?
