Alpha One outdrive stuck 3/4 of the way using trim switch

This just started happening about the same time I ran my boat aground. Previously I was able to trim the outdrive through it's full range of motion. Now I am able to trim it down but while trimming up, it gets stuck about three-quarters of the way up. I have to use the trailer switch in order to move the outdrive the rest of the way up. An online search has proven to be less than helpful and I am hoping someone out there has experienced this problem. Thanks in advance.~Milt

Sounds like the trim limit switch is working again. Only not at the right dimensions.
Might want to pull the trim llimit switch off the port side of the gimbal ring and retighten the pivot bolts and re-adjust the trim limit switch. Sounds like the pivot pin is loose and moving around as you trim up and down.

So I pulled the trim limit switch off the port side of the gimbal ring and all I saw was a bunch of grease looking stuff. Then I took off the cover. Under that I saw a metal tab looking thing. I cleaned it off and put it back together. Is the pivot bolt underneath the switch itself or under the cover? Do I have to regrease between the switch and gimbal ring? The manual is not very clear on any of this. Thanks.
