Alpha one ram questions...

I have a 1995 3.0lx with and alpha one GII that does no seem to want to go up or down very consistently. The pump sounds like its working but the drive is lethargic at best.

This happened a few years ago and a friend told me to pour some AFT on the rams and it will help and it has worked fine for two years. This trick did not work this year.

How can I be sure its the rams? Is there a way to check them? Can they be rebuilt? Where the best place to find them? Ebay had sets for $300 used.

There is probably corrosion built up between the bushings and the rod coming thru the end cap. Time to pull them apart and get them cleaned up.
