I just bought a 2000 Stingray 180RS (3.0L Mercruiser 135HP) with I'm pretty sure a Aplha One gen2, the speedometer line is broken just above the quick disconnect coming off of the lower unit, there isn't really enough line to cut it and put the QD back on how do I replace this line, i found where it goes up through the outdrive and there is a brass fitting in there, can I pull that and feed the line through? I guess worst case would be to get some shrink wrap that fits close and cut the end clean and use the wrap to attach new line. Thanks in advance.
