Just a quick question. My boat is in the shop. I am working on the electrical,so the boat has NO power. The outdrive is up from trailering. I need to rotate the trim pump hoses on the pump housing. Is there pressure when the outdrive is up or down?

I would hate to get my new carpet covered in oil...

All I want to do is break the flange nut loose and rotate the trim hose. Just cant figure out which black or gray line would have pressure on it.

Bondo, since I have no electric, how can I loosen the flange nuts without oil going everywhere?

OK, so when it is in the down position there is no load on it. That means I can loosen the flange nuts and rotate hoses?

I know it sounds dumb, just want to make sure....

Remove the UP line outside on one of the cylinders and that will let it drop. There should be no pressure in lines when completely down.
