Alpha one trim wires

Morning guys, I am in the process of changing the transom assembly,
I know which wires are trim and tilt, but how do iI know which of the 2 wires connect to the other wires, 1 set is on engine harness, the other 2 go to pump, hope that makes sense , Or doesn't it matter ?

Ayuh,..... The trim sender hooks into the wirin' harness that goes to the dash gauge,.....
The trim limit switch goes to the pump,....

Thanks Bondo, But does it matter which wires are plugged in to the recieving wires. I know which are what, But i dont know if it matters, Hope you understand what I'm trying to say

Ayuh,..... The switch, No,....
It's just a make, or break switch,....

I believe the sender has opposite bullet connectors on 'em,....

Though it shouldn't matter anyway,....
