Just wondering if anyone has seen this before.

The Vessel= an 1983 Searay 260DA with a 260 Merc ( 350 - Alpha -1 )

The problem = The Trim Switch open up under load ( when on plane -consistently) // but works great otherwise (slower speeds etc ).

Its been very repeatable and consistent for over 50 hours of operation.

The trailer switch always works ( even when on plane ) and placing a jumper in place of the trim switch will allow that to work also. ( with no limit of coarse )

Its been doing it since I got the boat running last year. I replaced the bellows & a lot of related components ( including the trim switch ) to make it seaworthy.

Its on the water now // When I do pull it out -- I will look for any excessive Gimbal bolt & housing movement ( side to side ETC. ) and may try to re-position or replacing the switch as well.

Any advice is welcome -- Especially on specs & shimming the drive to reduce side to side movement.

Thanks!!!
