Alpha2 gen1 having trouble shifting into forward.

Took the boat out today (3L A1G1) Boat had trouble shifting into gear. Pushing the throttle forward would just kill the engine (activate the Neutral interrupt) After trying a few times it worked and it ran fine. Went to dock and the boat to grab a bite, boat went into reverse but wouldn't come out. Pushing the throttle forward just gave it more gas in reverse. We got docked and grabbed some food, thought letting it cool would help. Hour later we get in ,it starts right up, push the throttle forward and it dies again. It did this about 5+ times. So I disconnected the neutral interrupt and it went into gear. Drove back to the launch went to dock and it went into reverse and wouldn't go back into forward.

Any ideas?

Sounds like it needs a lower shift cable. Could just need an adjustment but not likely.
