Alternator Brushes

My alternator crapped out on me last weekend and I'm hunting for a set of brushes. Does anyone know where I can get some. It is proving a bit challenging to find them. I have a 1984 Merc 898, GM 305.

Well, that was part of my problem. Didn't know what kind it was. After quite a bit of computing, I was able to deduce it is a Mando. Then I was able to figure out a Merc part number. No dealer in my neck of the woods had such a part, but I did finally find some on the web and got it ordered. It costs $7.36 and the dealer was trying to tell me they couldn't get just the brushes anymore, but would have to buy the whole assembly on the back of the alternator for about $100.
