I have an issue with my charging circuit. Manual shows 4 wire alternator and mine is the same see pictures. I'm not sure what would be a suitable replacement? The ID tag is worn off and I cannot make out the model number. My boat is a 1987 2.3L OMC stern drive - when the engine is idling my battery voltage stays constant as 12.3-12.5 volts and is the same with the engine off. Is there a way to check if my alternator is bad?
