Alternator or Voltage regulator

Hi all,

Noticed my newer (installed last summer) alternator is not charging. There is a slow discharge of the battery while running. If I do a load test on it the voltage does not jump up to around 14V where it should. I'm wondering if there is a way to test the regulator to see if it has packed it in. I want to isolate it since just regulators are available insted of buying a whole new unit.

If it were me, I would take it back to where you got it. If that's not an option, take it to a shop and have it tested. If you've been working on it, make sure all the wires are connected etc.

If you like taking things apart and fixing them, post some pics of the project.
