Alternator problems?

I think I may be having a problem with my alternator on my 1995 evinrude 88 special. I just bought a new battery and after running for awhile yesterday, i tried to crank it this morning and at first it was a little slow cranking. How can I test the alternator to see if it is good?

Check the voltage at the battery while running. It should read over 13v. If under 12.6v, your battery isn't being charged. <br />If there's no charge, start by checking fuses and then the rectifier.<br /><br />Good luck!
