At the end of last season my alternator was starting to act up. I'm looking for advice on a good replacement with 100 amp output. Boat is a 2004 Caravelle 187 with a 4.3 Volvo GXI-E. Thanks for any help.

Willing to assist but can I ask why you need 100 amp? There is no issue with 100 amp other then needing larger wires, but unless you have something using major power you don't need one that large

I personally would take the alternator to a repair shop and have it repaired

There are several starter/alt rebuilding shops in Edmonton, some of them are pretty good
