I have an older Chrysler lm318 1968 model. Recently the alternator is melting the main wire going to the back of it. This wire goes from the main pole of the alt. to the back of the amp guage. It is probably 10 guage wire, and has previously been fine, I have checked all connections, and terminals for corrosion and tightness all checks fine. What is happening????
