alternator?

Hello, does anyone happen to know if my 1986 Johnson 60hp would have an alternator to keep my battery topped up?

Probably NOT, because it's a 1986.

Yes it DOES. I think it has a 4 amp charging system on it. Go to shop.evinrude.com and check it out. You'll see it has a rectifier and all.

Yes. The charging system is under the flywheel and the rest on the side of the mtr.
