Hi
Replacing carpet in this boat. Pulled out the old stuff pretty easily. Using a wire wheel to try and get remainder of backing. Wondering how much of this #%?? crap I gotta get out. 17 ft boat, almost all carpet. Thanks.

Why did you start another thread on something concerning the same boat. Have you read the Forum Rules and Guidelines???

Yes I have, and I'll re-read them. Same boat, different project. I've got carpet, wiring, carb rebuild, cracked stringers. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I also use the "search" function. Do a "search" for REMOVE CARPET GLUE, and it'll come up with every post with the words "remove" "carpet" and "glue". Several hundred.

Could have been asked in the "main" project topic, as often, specifics/details posted earlier in a topic are relevant to the current question. And prevents duplication of discussions and pix...

But, if you prefer to.post separately in a new topic, its ok to.

In this case, IMO, it could go either way. I'd have preferred it w the rest of the boat project, so it was a start to finish project.....

So here it is.....

How much of what carp do you have to get out?

The carpet backing and glue?

All of it.

Else you'll be gluing over old and stuck to it instead of the hull or whatever....
