Hello all,
I have an old FD that a previous owner removed the top brace on the transom. The wrap around piece. The piece that has been removed is a straight shot right on the back. The aqueduct tray or whatever you call it is still there. Anyways I have two questions. First has anyone found a good way of replacing this. I have the ability weld aluminum, but that piece kind of looks like cast to me. Second with just that top piece removed how much do you think that affects the structural integrity of the boat? Please forgive the pics...it's getting dark and it snowed this weekend.
