Alumacraft rivet leak question?

I purchased a 1436 Alumacraft in July took the boat out for the thrid time without my lab and noticed that three rivets are leaking. Contacted the dealer and after e-mailing the pics of the rivet leaks (filled the boat up with water and saw the leaks from the bottom) they are ordering replacment rivets. My question: Will the replacement rivets, once there in, continue to be a problem? They are under the baot next to the drain plug. The other rivet passes through the transom.

Re: Alumacraft rivet leak question?

Assuming the holes are normal if the rivets are properly installed should be no problem. Are they ordering rivets because they leak or because they are distorted in some way?Usually rivits can be tightened and I would prefer to tighten them than to remove and install new.If you can't solve the problem then install new.
