Alumacraft transom

Does anybody know what kind of wood was originally used on the transom of the old Alumacraft FD's?

I can't speak for Alumicrafts exclusively, but most use marine plywood. Some sandwich thinner sheets while others use a single.<br /><br />By the way, what's an FD?
