aluminum bonding question

I recently had a welded bimini top bracket come loose from the frame. I plan to either use a self tapping sheet metal screw or rivet to re-attach the bracket to the frame until I can have it welded or buy a new frame.

1) which is stronger bond, JB Weld aluminum or an epoxy made for aluminum? Don't have either on had, I don't believe so have to purchase one of them.

2) which is better the screw or a large headed aluminum rivet?

Ayuh,.... Rivets all the way,.... Epoxy could present Problems when it comes to Weldin' it later,....

x3 rivet all the way... as bondo indicated don't use ANY adhesive if you plan to weld later
