Hi Guys:

I have the opportunity to purchase a 2006 23' ACB pilothouse sport fisher with an Evinrude 200. I know they were built in Bellingham, WA and I know they're no longer in business. My question is: Can anyone give me an opinion on them for use in the Pacific Northwest and Lower Mainland of BC? I'd be interested in any opinions.

Well, I know nothing about them personally - but US Homeland security uses them, and the US Coastguard says they are virtually unsinkable. So I guess there are two favorable opinions:)

ACR brought a couple of them up to Ketchikan when I lived there. We became dealers (in writing) and had the charter skippers and anyone else that wanted to for that matter to look at them.
While they did ride nice in rough water, and were virtually unsinkable, they were also extremely expensive and just as ugly. We never did sell one, had a few lookers until they seen the price.

Hi Guys:

Thanks for the replies. They are a different looking animal, eh? I know they were very expensive when new but I can get this one for what I think is a very reasonable price so I think I'll dip my toe in the water a little more! I'll let you know.
