Hi i'm on the search for some info on a boat I received in a trade.
The boat was made by "Aluminum Goods" model 1432

As it looks very similar to an Alumacraft FDR I hoped someone here might now a little bit more about it. How can I determine what year it is, maybe someone has some original paper material that they could scan for me.
Who knows something about the history of this company, all I found is a company by that name that made kitchen utensiles.

here is the boat

Re: Aluminum Goods ? INFO needed

Well thank you very much Bob, I dint know such a thing as this database exists. Sure helpful, at least now I can kind of date the boat. As the Company started business in the mid 70's I probably can assume that my boat is a 76 model since the engine is from that year.
I really like this little boat, once i get the minor issues with the engine figured out it should be rady to run an other 10-20 years.
Full throttle it will do 35 km/h with 1 adult and 2 kids, fastest was 37 km/h.

I believe the Hull ID system was developed jointly between Canada and the US. I've read it started up in 1972 for boats appearing as 1973 models. If your boat is a 1976 you should find the Hull ID in this location.

HIN_noinfo.gif

The format has changed three times since its inception so the last two characters are NOT always the year.

If no ID or evidence of having been an ID is present you are probably looking at a pre-1973 model.

Check out the additional CA prefix for Canadian built boats.
