I am planning on painting the inside of my 14' Lund aluminum fishing boat. I removed the plywood seats and cut new ones to replace. The inside has been previously painted with an awful yellow and I would like to paint it a flatlight grey. The yellow paint appeared to adhere quite well with the exception of wear on the floor.

What type of paint and primer should I use? I am looking for a good but economical finish.

Thanks

Re: Aluminum Painting

Lightly sand what's there,+ paint it with Rustolium,.... Primer,+ topcoat.........

It'll last Forever,+ If it gets Scuffed,.. It takes nicely to "Touch Ups"...........

You can also use pickup truck bed liner. Not quite as cheap as paint, but very durable, and makes for a quieter surface.
