aluminum prop comparison

As fars as the inexpensive aluminum props for alpha 1 go, is there much difference between Solas, MW, Powertech and Quicksilver. Or are they all pretty similar blade designs, or are some more up to date and current?

My concerns are:

Overall performance and design, is there one that stands out?

If switchign between any of these brands how predicatable will performance and rpm be? Meaning would a 19P in any of them be comparable to the others in a 19P.

Quality wise are there any standouts? Overall finish, strength, design, consistency from blade to blade and prop to prop, etc.

I see most of them advertised all over the place, but if there is one that stands out I would like to look into that one more.

If all mentioned inexensive brands are same size, shape & pitch should theoretically perform same. Should be some performance diffeerence if being alum or SS though. Top quality material should last longer, but are more pricey. Somebody having an Alpha 1 will surely chime in and provide a proper tech answer.

Turning Point Hustler props are specifically designed to compete with SS high performance props. Go to the top of this page and click on props. Get on that page and put in your information. When the list of props comes up, go to the Hustler. Click on the propeller picture and on that page look at the specifications and attributes. I have one and it is what it is said to be. Besides, I was where I told you a couple of days ago answering another question, and it seemed to be the cheapest.

The standout, which you have left out, is the Michigan Wheel Vortex line of Aluminum Props. They a more consistent in design, blade geometry and
thus predictable performance. They are constantly tested and evaluated to be current with engines being offered. The others you mention, are cheaper
sometimes, that is for a reason.

Actually that is what I intended by "MW" was the vortex props.

I have seen generally consistent good reports on the Michigan, I have seen some raving reviews about the Solas and agiain typically good. A few hit or miss bad reviews or comments on them though. The Quicksilver I havent necessarily seen anything bad about but seems like it might be the same thing as the MW but for more money? Maybe not. Powertech aluminum is hard to find anything on, SS you can find all kinds of info.

The local prop shop where I have bought from before, carries all of them. Typically stocks powertech in most pitches, but fills in gaps in pitch with MW or Solas. I have normally bought locally because of convenience and lots of times I can trade or demo props within reason.
