I'm having a hard time locating a source for the aluminum splashwell drains that go through the transom. They are basically a flared piece of 1" aluminum tubing. Anybody have any ideas where I can get replacements for these?

What I've done with my newest boat project is shave down the outer ring enough to round over a new flange with a ball peen hammer.. as long as your careful.
On a nice boat I would do the repair on the inside of the splash well so it's not as noticeable.

I have seen the aluminum tubes at Boatersworld but opted for the brass style you can get at most marine stores. I read a post on this forum about using a bottle jack to hold it in place, cutting length to 3/16" longer then 2 sizes of ball peen hammers to flare. I tried that last night and it worked awsome, the finish looks perfect.

The trick I found was to measure and mark tube for cutting and for position in hole then remove and cut with a cut off wheel in grinder. I also used Lepage's Bulldog polyurethane at $5 a tube versus the $20 a tube 3M 5200.

Thanks everyone! They have exactly what I'm looking for right here on iboats. I can't believe I didn't find them when searching the store. Thanks again!
