Aluminum vs green treated

I installed 2 fishing platforms on the back of my aluminum pontoon and used green treated. I now know this was way wrong. Do I need to simply replace with marine plywood or can I raise the platforms away from the aluminum and install spacers to avoid contact? They are held in place with SS bolts. Any response would be appreciated.

The chemicals will leach and spread even if there are spacer's..... I would replace the wood. Is it the new ACQ treated wood....get rid of it.

Was it sealed up with fiberglass or epoxy?

I was watching How it's Made this week and they showed pontoon boats being made. Imagine my surprise when they laid a sheet of treated down on the racks for decking and attached it. I assume it is standard treated, had the greenish cast. Planned obsolescence? Specially coated aluminum?

We all think it is corrosive.

Thanks, I will replace it asap. I plan to carpet it. Any reason to coat the marine plywood as well?

No Need for Marine. If you use standard ext. grade and give it a coat of epoxy it will outlast you.
