I bought my boat Fed 12th 2010 after looking on Craigs list for 7 months. It took 7 months because I was saving the money to pay cash.

I can't stop looking at Craigs listed boats even though I'm very happy with my boat purchase. I feel like I'm cheating on my boat like I'm cheating on my wife by looking at Porn.

How do I kick the Craigs List habit?

I feel so dirty. :eek:;) LOL

I do it all the time. I just bought a new to me fishing boat last summer and plan to have it restored within the next month. I love my boat but find myself looking on craigslist all the time just to see what is out there. At least I feel good about myself knowing what I paid and seeing what it is worth when its done. At least I made out good on it. You always have to have your wish list though.

I think you are but then again, I think we all do.

I went to the boat show last month to look around and see of any new/cool add ons or boat accessories.

The first building I entered I had a full blown affair (and with my boat's sister... upgraded from a 17 to 19 ft Hurricane deck boat)

My 3rd boat in 4 years......Hopefully I can remain faithful to my new boat ;)

Hi, My names Rodger & I'm a Craigs-List-a-holic....
I bought my boat on November 1st, 2009, and get on that damn web-site every single day. I started looking on their befor, so I have really had this problem since last June or July...
I could use some help please!:D

On a similar note, I am also on this web-site everyday reading the how-too's for my restoration. Everyone has been a bunch of help, and I sincerly thank all!

Sorry to admit that I have had several transgressions in my life of boat ownership. I choose to keep those between my boat and myself. I know of no cure for this other than getting out of the house and on the water with your boat.

So true. My typical day is getting work out of the way, then checking the frozen lake with hopes there will be a change, and then searching Craigslist and iboats for literally nothing.

My girlfriend tosses subtle hints all the time that I am obsessed....:D

Couldn't agree more. I had 3 at one point of my addiction. They pop up all the time...just wish I had a much bigger garage :confused:

Im on craigslist all the time looking at boats. It is getting really bad cause now I search ebay. Im not gonna buy another boat I just like to see what is out there.

Pretty bad and a considerable waste of time when you have a routine and order of sites to search for boats. First is CL, then here, then boat trader, then ebay, and lastly I check local papers!

The problem with ebay is you find alot of boats that were donated for charity and there is not alot of info on them.

Just wait till she cheats you out of a trip due to (well a million things that can go wrong with a boat) thats when the marrige is truly tested. The dirty feeling you will have then will be much different than the one you have now. PS looking at porn sites doesn't mean your cheating on your wife unless you are watching yourself on them :eek: A couple of years ago I actually took both of my boats to Lake Powell just so everyone could go as a group and none of the boats would be overloaded. Talk about a lot of stuff to have to worry about for a week. Its almost 350 mi. each way for me, just getting the trailers ready was a nightmare. It went off without a hitch but I sold the Wellcraft two days after I got back.... and couldn't have been happier. even though its not in most everyone elses area check out ksl.com and look in the boat section of the classifieds he he he

It's deff. cheaper to rent one than to pay for one that's for sure!!!!!

I am of the belief that your boat expects you to look around at all others. At least that's how I justify it to myself!
