I am about to buy a 2001 Four Winns 230 Horizon for $10,000. The boat is really clean and has a brand new 5.7L Volvo in it. I was just wondering what were your guys opinions about the boat and if thats a good price.
I have a 210 Horizon undergoing a resto...make sure the deck is solid! In 87 when mine was built they stapled the deck down and that gave the water a place to sneak into the stringers.....big mess! They are nice boats but beware of underlying issues
The boat is not suppose to have any wood on it. The floor is all fiberglass with snap in carpet. The seats are in pretty good condition. A little dirty but no rips or tears anywhere on them. The boat has been covered and sitting for close to 2 years now. This would be my first boat and im just looking for some input.

Four Winns is a nice boat.. 10k seems like a fair price... Like said above.. If ya got 10k to throw around, drop some more and have a survey done.. Take her for a test run.. It was about 35k when she was new..
are you absolutely positive there is no wood in the boat stringers/deck/transom? i would call four winns to confirm or find a product manual/ catalog for that year
