Am I missing any parts on this 1959 10hp Seahorse (QD20)?

The guy I bought this from said he had to go take his motor back from a mechanic who wouldn't return his calls. He got it back in pieces and neither he nor I are sure if he got all the parts. Can anyone tell if I'm missing something? I'm new to outboards and was wondering if I'm supposed to have an air filter and housing. There are some bolt holes between the starter rope handle and the recoil mechanism that look like something was supposed to go there. Thanks for any help.

And yet more pics. Sorry if this is getting redundant. I just don't want to miss giving important info to anyone that wants to help out.

Also, anyone know what the little round bracket in the last picture on the side of the motor is for? It looks like it's been added on or modified from the original.

Looks like the previous owner rigged that bracket to hold the shift cable for remote shifting.
Also, I see you have muffs on the engine. That engine is not designed to work on muffs. It needs to be in a bucket with water a couple inches above the bulge that has the water pump impeller in it. (About half way up the leg of the outboard).

It's missing spark plugs! I have the parts manual pdf. If you want it PM me your email address and model #. And yes, don't use muffs. Use a barrel of water.
