AMS Oil Dominator

I have a bunch of AMS oil dominator laying around (was sponsored by them) can I use this in my 72 sportwin 9.5? It was good enough for my race bike figured why not for the outboard. It great oil just wasn't sure about marine engines.

I'll add that it says you can use it short term in engines that will be inspected periodically.
I take that to mean, that if you intend on a full teardown and inspection as you would a race engine, then sure.. Use it...
​If you just want to run the engine and not teardown, then no.. Don't use it.. LOL

This type of oil is formulated for higher temperatures and higher RPM's, the ingredients don't burn off well at lower temps and RPM's leaving ash deposits, which in the earlier days of two stroke oils destroyed a good number of outboards. The TCW oils formulated just for outboards were developed because of this problem.

​So it's up to you, it's not the correct product, and may destroy your motor. I'm not saying a tank of it is going to cause a problem, but long term enough motors failed that a different oil was developed.

I'm just going to get some correct oil, I've still got to decarb so it's only ran about a .25 gallon. Wisely I only mixed a gallon of fuel.
