received this broadcast email yesterday, pretty basic company policy statement with an attached word doc:

Dear e-mail account holder, attached is a document regarding e-mail and internet usage guidelines. It is important that all employees see this information. If you manage or supervise employees, please print this document and post or distribute it locally.

came this morning:

This message is intended for all U.S. Based Email Users. There was a message that went out on 12.12.2006 and we have received numerous emails asking if this message is “Spam”. This e-mail is valid and should be read by each employee who has access to e-mail and the internet.

Funny but true cpomputer-at-werk story for ya;
I was given a laptop to fill out my reports,dailies and time/material forms... IM claimed this was to "cut-down on paperwork and storage of same"...
About a week later, three different inter-offices requested hard copies hand-delivered by currier... no faxes would be accepted.

Once after the email servers were down got an email saying the email servers were down and would be back up shortly!
