An elephant, a mariachi band, and our border...

Anyone catch the little bit about the guy that paid for an elephant and a mariachi band? Down in Texas, he played in the Rio Grande river for 90 minutes, on top of an ELEPHANT, with a mariachi band playing on shore, and NOT ONE border patrol agent showed up to question him.

Absolutely ridiculous. If a danged elephant could cross our border unnoticed, how many illegal aliens, drugs, and anything else you want could cross?

90 minutes, and noone questioned him!

Hah! It wasn't, but it might as well have been. I caught the story on O'Reilly. I guess the guy who did this is on "The Apprentice," as Bill was interviewing him.

ahh, good old Bill O'Reilly, the voice of reason. What did Rush have to say about the elephant?

I sense a bit of sarcasm there. But what do either Bill or Rush have to do with the fact that the dude on the elephant wasn't noticed at all by our border patrol?

Maybe the border patrol agents were too busy doing their job chasing illegal immigrants to worry about an elephant and a mariachi band...

Yea, because an elephant is a NORMAL sight on the US/Mexico border. I know that my military training tells me that if I was on guard duty, I should report any abnormal or suspicious activity.

Oh, BTW, while they were playing with the elephant, an illegal came across... and they(dude on elephant and cameraman) chased him down. The only reason(apparently) that the illegal was arrested, was because the guy on the elephant(no longer on while chasing said illegal) was making such a big scene about it. The Illegal was being ignored, for the most part, by the authorities. So your argument just got tossed in the river.
