This is long, but i could no longer keep it from you. It all started with my first fiberglass boat i bought, don't remember the name or brand of the boat.Looked more like the very first fish @ski modles, but boy o boy did it have a nice and old 70 evinrude, the trailer had coil spring, fenders look like they came off of a cenessa, and tires that came off of an old golf cart. When i bought it $500. the guy gave me 2 spair tires because he said they were no longer made. Enought said.
Well my best friend and i decided to go to Caddo lake the next weekend and do some fishing, that gave me plenty of time to get Noas Ark ready. Tore out the old rotton seats, put in old bar seats, Checked engine ran fine, put on old monky wards trolling mtr, and charged batt, set.
Sat. we loaded up boat, Buddy checks the gas can and said it was plum full. Ye haw off to the lake we go. About 15 miles out blow a tire, no problem have a spare, change tire, spares flat, use hand pump, back on the road again. Get to the lake other tire shreads so what we made it.Lanch the boat Engine run fine, buddy parks trailer. Buddy gets in boat,we put on PFD's and head up the river. I get out of the no wake zone a gas it, both of us fall back to the back of the boat, stools were not ancored, we scroung to get the boat back under control, finally head up river about 5 miles and boat dies, try abd try to start it so i pull a plug, have fire, ask buddy about gas, says gas is fine, so i check the gas open up the top it is bone dry, asked bouuy how he checked it he said he tried to pick up the can,can it straped to the floor$#$$#%%%%^^$#$ So we start down the river with the trl motor, get about 1 mile down and the battery is getting weak.so we start to paddle,1/2 mile futher found some ole cabins and pull in to see if we can find some gas,An old man had some spare gas but no oil. Went and talked to his friends about oil,NO OIL... Sat down and about ready to cry when a trukk pulls up.This guy went to town to get gas for his chain saw Yeppee. Had oil and gas now. Battery is almost dead so had to pull start, gotta love that rude cranked right up. Days almost gone so we go a load up and change tire. About 10 miles from the house BooM another flat, no more spares we drove it home, right before we get it home, bearings froze up, draged the dam thing home and parked it,never to see the water again,20 years ltr sold the motor to a friend, and he loves that motor to this day.Burned the boat and trailer to the ground then had it hauled off.
Did,t even get to fish that day

Mudbass1
