I have never had any issue starting after a night on the hook. The anchor light is quite likely less than 15 watts. It uses little power.

I would think that it would start the next day. And now that I say that you will also have to take into consideration the condition of your battery and your motor. The light takes very little to operate. would just turn it on at home for the night and see if the boat will start the next day. You will also have to take into consideration if you run the radio that will take some power also. To make sure ( I never leave the dock without it) Getting a jump box. Then even if the battery is run down you can just jump the boat and be on your way.

Hope ya have a great aniversary. Oh if you do this often they aso make LED stern lights that use VERY little power.. Just a though.

it will last longer than you will!

Now...that's just funny!!

In all seriousness...it's still funny!!

If you're really worried, use this:

led.JPG

It's a LED with a standard socket base. Will prob burn 500 hours before you're battery even realizes it's on.

while there is no chance your single bulb will run your battery down, I believe in redundancy, so I carry a d-cell powered bow light--it's on a clamp--and a pole stern light, which I can drop into a rod holder. They make them on suction cups, too, which I wouldn't trust running but would be OK sitting. consider that option.

Do you have a duel battery setup in your boat? I would think the starting battery will not have any draw on it from the stern light....that would draw from the deep cycle.

Me too (got it at walmart 5 bucks). I worry about a battery draining so I just velcro this to the lamp post and use it instead (it is actually much brighter than the sten light on the boat and that makes me feel good).

where do you get those LED bulbs. My father and i were going to start production of those bulbs because we couldnt find them anywhere? Its easily a million dollar idea if you take it outside the marine application.

Now thats funny... I don't care who you are!!!roflmao!!

But its so true!

Whats you talkin bout Willis? Even though the battery might last only part if the the night, come morning there will be complete rejuvination and it won't be that battery.

Just pull her up on the beach (the boat that is), and no lights will be needed. Ask me how I know!

Too late. Autozone / Advance / WalMart have sold them for years.

Heck, the OP could buy a second battery for the cost of putting 6 pills in the one he has...
