I have a tracker panfish 16 and was checking to see if anyone knows a proper way to mount anchor mates to this boat.<br />thanks

My anchor mate sits in the seat next to me until I tell her to drop the anchor.

My anchor mate complains of getting water in her ears while anchoring... had to go back to the old fashioned anchor. <br /><br />Elwood we would need pictures of your bow.<br /><br />Anchor Mate<br />

Be sure you really want that thing in your boat. Then plan very carefully where you mount it. <br /><br />They always seem to be in the way.<br />Either you bust your knuckles trying to crank that handle at 90mph, or you have to move other gear so you can get to the handle, or you are smashing into the pulley part when you get into or out of the boat. And you need 2 hands to drop anchor, one to hold the little release and one to pull line off the spool.<br /><br />We had 2 of them in 2 different boats and after trying several mounting locations, we decided that they really didn't belong in our boats.
