I am pretty new to boating so forgive me if my questions require "obvious" answers.
When my anchor (danforth) is stored the main shaft turns sideways in the slot in the pulpit. Even when pulled up tight it makes it possible for the anchor to hit the bow of the boat. If it didn't turn sideways I could pull it tight and the points of the anchor would rest against the steel plates under the pulpit. What can I do to remedy this?
