I sell different styles of anchors through my online store and for different anchoring conditions, different anchors work better. I can give good adivce on anchoring conditions in my area of the world, B.C., but other areas of the North America I'm not so knowledgable.
In the southern coastal waters of B.C. it's fair to assume most bottoms are muddy and/or seaweedy. Can other generalizations be said about other parts of North America, say southern California? New York? Florida?
I'd be curious to hear from everyone.
Thanks
