I am considering purchasing this 22" center console. The boat is new w/ a bracket mounted outboard 225hp motor. However this boat has only 17 degrees of deadrise. I am concerned how this boat will in rough waters. I would appreciate any info on this boat.

Thank you

gacman,

I'm with you on your concerns. 17 degrees is a bit soft. It sounds like this boat is more of what is now called a "bay boat".

That's exactly what it is. ;)
I have a Angler 20'CC that has that same 17deg deadrise. It's definitely not an offshore battle wagon.

MifeF,

That is EXACTLY why I ended up selling my Palm Beach 19' "BayDancer".

I knew it going in, yet after I moved, I found these canyon lake here could put up quite a chop. I wanted to keep my fillings in my mouth. :D

djohns19 - You should try a 17' aluminum bassboat on those same lakes  . Well, it worked fine down at Patagonia Lake. Maybe there is a reason for Bartlett Reservior.

Kelly Cook

Re: angler 220b center console

Thank you for the replies.

Also looking at a pro sports 2200BW center console 200 evinrude ficht 25deg deadrise. I like the motor but the boat seams a little cheap and less room than the angler. Do you need that much deadrise i think the boat may roll while drifting.

Another boat looking at for more money is a seaswirl striper 2301 center console. like the boat with its high sides but lacks seats for family trips. 20 deg. deadrise with 200hp johnson ocean pro. I wonder if this is enough power for this bigger and heavier boat and also carb moter.

Any input on my buying decision would be helpfull.

Thank you, Gary
