this winter has been hard on the wild life here, the first pic is a bobcat that was being cannibalized by another bobcat, we had the animal shelter come get the living one, but it died the next day. we did manage to trap one and it too went to the animal shelter and is doing fine. it will be released back to the wild when the weather will allow for a better chance for it to live. ( by animal shelter i mean one that has no domestic animals, just injured, sick or otherwise distressed wild critters

Nature has a way of taking care of itself. And some times that seems cruel and hard to understand by humans. Squirrels do similar things to their own new born if times are bad... In the wild, only the strong survive, not so much with mankind!

Momma Bears will do the same as squirrels. At least they saved one Bobcat.
