Anode/Trim Tab-Painted??

Quick question. The previous owner repainted the mid section and painted the anode/trim tab. I know they're there to attract corrosion. Is the paint defeating the purpose??

You are correct...it won't do it's job painted.

Just get a nice new one...they are not expensive!

Yes. Remove and Just sand the the paint off.

Pulled it off and hit it with the wire brush on the drill. Ten minutes total, good to go.
