Anodized Aluminum Aerocraft Boat (yellow and blue)

My 1958 aerocraft seems to be yellow anodized and blue anodized... not painted!

It has faded a great deal. I assume I should use aluminum restoration instructions found elsewhere here to just polish it up... and that in doing so, the anodized layer will be scrubbed off.

Any thoughts? You can just see the yellow here... in low light, it is much more noticeable.
