another carb problem???????

i just rebuilt the carb on my 1960 super sea horse 40 johnson well i got it running saturday well i have two questions one is i ran it in a cut off steel drum i seen some 2 cycle oil runing down the bottom part of the lower unit the part in the water plus i think i have gas leaking around the high speed jet hard to tell it has to sit for about a day or two to see it it not running out but a real real slow drip i mean real slow drip but it ran great

You will probably end up by going back through the carb. You should not have a gas leak. Check all fuel connections first.
