I have a 260 with a San Juan cooling system . Currently I have log style manifolds and the boat came with center rise manifolds in a box. My question is when I change to the center rise do I need a different t stat housing? I have read a couple posts that you need to change so the engine cools at idle . But my guess is that's changing from raw to fresh cooled. I'm not doing the swap until I have a exhaust elbow then I will convert, so parts collecting now. Thanks
