another dead $@&#*&! motor!

johnson 4 hp seahorse, mag flash cd. sparkplug wire fell out of coil. engine won't start. do i need to replace coil, or can wire be reconnected?

Assuming you mean that the wire was secured within the coil at one time.....

Inside the coil is a threaded prong. The wire simply screws onto that threaded prong.

Have a look here for your specific year and model to see if your missing parts on your magneto. Seems really strange that the wire had enough play to fall out of the connection. Rick.

does'nt seem to have any missing parts. plug wire is so short it barely reaches plug . it may have pulled out when it was removed from plug.

Replace it with one of proper length. Copper wire inside only. If you don't, it'll just come out again.
