I have laid the new pieces of my sole in, and seam taped. Then I will put a sheet over the whole thing. Question is: after I have laid the initial cloth and it is wet and cured and all, how much additional epoxy should be put over top? I was planning on rolling 2 additional coats, then painting.

Re: Another glass question

i just did mine for first time( um, uh...) and did a layer of resin, let it cure, then another layer of resin, put glass in it, brushed on MORE resin, mashed it in with the roller, squeged out the excess and let that cure. then sanded everything real nice and poured one final layer of resin and made it smooth as glass.

of course this was my fisrt time working with glass, EVER, so maybe im wrong, but it sure is hard now!

EC, two coats is probably correct. Use two or more layers of cloth wetted up at the same time, and after it is just about cured, add another coat or two until the cloth's weave is filled in and the floor is smooth.

THanks. Although I'm only planning on putting down 1 cloth, dry layup, and then add the epoxy after partial cure.
I'm only using 1 for moisture barrier and abrasion resistance. Or does that just not sound like enough?
