another grease question

i have 2 types of "boat trailer and marine" grease, Not that the grease will even be exposed to water..

One is Lithium complex

the other is Aluminum complex (seems thicker)

Which type does OEM mercruiser u-joint and gimbal grease use???

it says on the tube DO NOT MIX GREASES.

Also Which grease should i use on my alignment tool??? and splines when i put the drive back on??

How do you know what grease is in there now? What's to guarantee the last person used OEM recommended grease?

Also Which grease should i use on my alignment tool???

The grease on the alignment tool just shows where the alignment needs to be done - nothing more, nothing less.
