I have a 1991 Bayliner 2070 Capri with a 120 Force L-drive that is only firing on the bottom two cylinders. I posted this question earlier and thought that I had figured out that more than likely it needed a power pack. I opened up the engine area to do some switching/testing to find that there is only one power pack! According to the manual the ign. system switched in 91 to a trigger/switch box system with only one power pack. Am I reading this correctly? Also, there are very few actual pictures in the manual of the location of ign. component locations. I have tons of experience with auto's and electric forklifts, but have little knowledge of marine elect. systems. I doubt that two coils have burnt out at the same time, and I know it's getting fuel. I'm hoping it's not the stator as that sounds expensive. So I'm thinking either trigger or switch box. I'll start testing on it tomorrow as I'm working all weekend, but I'm just looking for some ideas and possibly the locations of some of these components. Thank you

Re: Another ignition question

Bump! Hey guys, I know you get tons of these questions, but all I need to know is if in 91 the ignition was changed to a single CDI with a switch box and a trigger, and where are these three components located. I can look the ohm specs up on my cd manual but it doesn't show locations and I'm new to the marine world.......Thanks
